Why Is The 30 Inch Bar Stool So Popular?
There are a number of reasons the 30 inch bar stool has become so popular. Like everything else there seems to be one that has become kind of a standard throughout the industry. This so-called standard isn’t a particular style, it’s a height. It’s the 30 inch bar stool. Why has this one been chosen? It’s actually fairly simple to explain and understand. If you look at the heights of restaurant bars and the unique bar tables, 30 inches is the perfect height. One other reason is the natural make up of the human body in terms of height; it works great for 30″ barstools.
To look more in depth at why the 30 inch bar stool is considered standard height lets look at the home kitchen. The design of a kitchen in most homes has a countertop or island of some sort. The manufacturers have come up with a standard height of between 40-44 inches for these counters. This height works great for the 30 inch bar stools and allows for ample leg room under the counter overhangs.
